The authors, sisters, Mickie Shea and Lisa MacCrory, have spent years collecting and writing funny, true little whimsical stories, from the magical world of kids. The pair have reason to know plenty about children. Now all grown, Lisa has three children and Mickie, five. Mickie also keeps her finger on the pulse of childhood through her fifteen grandchildren.

My girlfriend Nancy’s little boy John, (age 5), was having a conversation with his teacher one day. The teacher said, "What is your mommy’s first name Johnny?" "Nancy," he said. "That’s a nice name." "What is your father’s first name?" "Daddy," Johnny said. "No, I mean his name not his title." Again, Johnny said his name is Daddy. The teacher then said, "O.K. Johnny, let’s put it this way, what does your mommy call him?" "Oh," said Johnny. "Mommy calls him Jackass!"
